Ute Müller, born 1978 in Graz, studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London. Müller has had solo exhibitions at mumok – Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig, Künstlerhaus - Halle für Kunst und Medien, Galerie Kunstbuero, Galleria Collicaligreggi and the Künstlerhaus Klagenfurt. She has also participated in numerous exhibitions at a wide variety of venues, including Wiener Festwochen, Établissement d’en face, Taxispalais - Kunsthalle Tirol, Kunsthalle Wien; Galerie Max Hetzler, Museum of Applied Arts Vienna, Nomas Foundation, Austrian Cultural Forum New York, Galerie Kamm; 21er Haus, Künstlerhaus Wien and June Paik Art Center. Her works have been awarded the Kapsch Contemporary Art Prize, the Klocker Foundation Advancement Prize and the Viktor Fogarassy Prize, among others. Since 2009, she has been publishing the artist zine Black Pages together with Christoph Meier and Nick Oberthaler. Ute Müller lives and works in Vienna.
